Arizona

Arkansas

The State of Arkansas has officially announced that completion of Naptime Academy courses may be used to meet child care licensing requirements. For additional information regarding the acceptance of NaptimeAcademy.com coursework in Arkansas, visit http://professionalregistry.astate.edu/registry.asp If you have listed your PDR ID in the 'State Registry ID' field of your Naptime Academy® profile, PDR Credit will be provided for each completed Naptime Academy® course. It can take up to 14 days before credit appears in your PDR Registry.  If you have forgotten your PDR ID, call ASU at 888-429-1585 and ask to speak to someone about looking up your PDR Registry ID.  If you have not received or inquired about an Access Code from us, please email support@naptimeacademy.com before Registering.
Arkansas Childcare Centers

Florida

Kansas

Naptime Academy courses comply with the Kansas Department of Health and Environment Kansas Laws and Regulations for Licensing Preschools and Child Care Centers July 2015 for clock-hours of training for staff working in family child care homes, preschools, and child care centers. Kansas has no formal approval process for in-service training courses. Naptime Academy courses align with Head Start Performance Standards. The online training has pre- and posttests to assess learning. The printable certificates provide verification of the name of the training organization and trainer, date the course was taken, the topic covered, and the number of clock hours. Training records are maintained in individuals’ MyProfile pages.

Michigan

Naptime Academy courses comply with the Professional Development Requirements (R 400.8131) of the Michigan Department of Human Services Bureau of Children and Adult Licensing to meet requirements for annual clock hours of training.  Michigan has no formal approval process for in-service training courses.  The online training has an assessment of learning.  The printable certificates provide verification of the name of the training organization and trainer, date the course was taken, the topic covered, and the number of clock hours.  Head Start staff can use Naptime Academy courses to meet Head Start Training requirements.  For additional information regarding the acceptance of NaptimeAcademy.com coursework in Michigan, visit http://www.michigan.gov/dhs/  or contact the Division of Day Care Licensing at 866.685.0006.

Missouri

The State of Missouri allows an unlimited number of clock hours to be earned online for child care workers. The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services Licensing Rule for Group Care Homes and Child Care Centers requires training courses to be at least one hour in length. The nine 1-hour Naptime Academy courses approved for clock hours of training are: Play to Learn, Let’s Get Preschoolers Active!, Protective Factors Begin with You, Preventing Expulsion 1 – The Teaching Pyramid, Preventing Expulsion 2 – Nurturing Relationships, Preventing Expulsion 3 – Supportive Classrooms, Preventing Expulsion 4 – Understanding Behavior, Preventing Expulsion 5 – Describing Behavior, Preventing Expulsion 6 – Working with Families. Naptime Academy submits course completion information on the 15th of each month to the Missouri Professional Development (MOPD) Registry. Be sure to have your MOPD ID ready when you sign-up for Naptime Academy. You will only need to enter it once in the ‘State Registry ID’ field. North Carolina

The following Naptime Academy classes are approved by the North Carolina Division of Child Development and Early Education (DCDEE) for online in-service training courses to staff in licensed child care facilities and home regulated by the Division.

Texas

Naptime Academy online courses are approved by the Texas Early Childhood Professional Development System for caregivers in child care centers and family child care homes.  Courses are registered under the trainer Patti Bokony, PhD, TrainerID #2507.  Naptime Academy courses align with Head Start Performance standards.  Head Start staff can use Naptime Academy courses to meet 50% of the Head Start Training requirements.

Vermont

Naptime Academy online courses are approved by the Northern Lights Career Development Center to meet annual clock hours of training for early childhood professionals in Vermont.  Naptime Academy courses align with the Office of Head Start Performance Standards and the Parent, Family, and Community Engagement Framework.

Virginia

The Virginia Department of Social Services does not have a formal process for approving training. Naptime Academy courses meet the requirements for annual training as stated in the VA Criteria for Provider Training document. An administrator (director, education coordinator or other supervisor) of the program must review the course to provide appropriate guidance and ensure the topic is applicable to the worker’s job functions and age group served. The author’s qualifications can be verified on this website.

Head Start staff can use Naptime Academy courses to meet Head Start Training requirements.
